General Member
This is the place to start in order to get to know the organization and our objectives. We ask that everyone coming in to our organization become a member and complete the member profile. This way we can identify each individual's talents and interests and position them in a role that will best foster their personal growth and productivity. We connect new members with local teams already in place or give them the opportunity to help start a new team. The role of the general member is to help their local organizer achieve a specific goal. General members can be as active as they choose and if desired, can undergo the training we offer for community organization so they can begin to assume positions of leadership. It is entirely up to the individual.

Mentor
Mentors are people who understand community organization and are willing to share that knowledge with others. They are great at teaching, coaching, motivating, and keeping a fire lit under the folks in their care. Most of our mentors have backgrounds in the non-profit sector but that is not required. What is required is the ability to work with a variety of personality types, an understanding of the basic nuts and bolts of community organization, and the willingness to take folks under your wings and develop one-on-one relationships with them.
Commununity Leader
This role is for someone who is a great organizer. Leadership positions are available at both the city and state level. City organizers are the ones who take the objectives of the organization and put a team togther to make it happen in their city on the appointed date. This is someone who can motivate a team and delegate effectively.
State coordinators serve as support for their city organizers and recruiters for new team members. They are ambassadors for their state and the organization at large.
Director
With a higher level of responsibility and greater visibility in the organization, directors are members of the administrative team. They help shape the organization's overall policy, development, and objectives. Candidates for these positions should have experience in one or more areas: community management, local government, non-profit organizations, fundraising, law, human resources, finance, grant writing, education, outreach, and communications.
